Specialist Psychodynamic Adolescent & Young Person’s Counsellor
Leena is one of our specialist Adolescent & Young Person’s Counsellors. She has been working at the Turner Centre seeing teenagers and young people since qualifying.
She has experience of working in both primary and secondary schools with children and teenagers struggling with a range of emotional and psychological difficulties including school phobia, anger management, self-harm, abuse, anxiety and eating disorders.
She sees adults as well as teenagers and young people and prides herself on her ability to provide an empathic space and offers a regular, safe and confidential space for people to explore and discuss their problems and difficult feelings. Her aim is to help the young person or adult to overcome issues that are causing emotional pain, anxiety or generally feeling uncomfortable. She won’t tell you what to do; instead she will encourage you to talk about what is bothering you, and by working together, she can help you gain a better understanding of yourself and make sense of your feelings and emotions. Looking at past experiences, and ways of relating to others can be helpful when trying to understand current issues.
Leena holds a Masters Degree in Psychodynamic Counselling, a BSc in Psychology and a Post Grad Cert in Psychotherapy and Counselling from Regents University.
Fees: Teenagers and young people £50
