Psychodynamic Counsellor and Psychotherapist
Carole-anne is an experienced psychodynamic counsellor and psychotherapist and has been working in private practice at the Turner Centre for several years. She has gained extensive experience working with a wide range of individuals trying to cope with an array of psychological and emotional difficulties in various settings.
For seven years she worked with a bereavement charity supporting parents who have lost a child and with Age Concern supporting those struggling with existential issues which come to the forefront as life progresses. She also has many years experience as a specialist counsellor supporting victims and survivors of rape and sexual violence through the Centre for Action on Rape and Abuse in Essex (CARA) where she worked with individuals from a range of backgrounds who had experienced severe abuse and trauma. Her private practice includes several years working with individuals struggling with work related stress and anxiety.
She offers both long and short term counselling and psychotherapy and enjoys working with a diverse range of issues. She prides herself on her ability to provide a holding and safe space enabling individuals to explore themselves, their lives and their relationships bringing them to a clearer understanding of themselves and their situation.
Carole-anne holds a Professional Clinical Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling, a certificate in Complex Trauma and a certificate in Psychosexual Studies from the Tavistock Centre. Over a number of years, she has attended and gained extensive additional CPD training and is an accredited member of the BACP.
